Stage 04 Planning Meetings

The planning meetings for Stage 04 will take place in September 2006, as follows:

DS Planning Meetings: 04-07 Sept 2006

Location

The DS Planning meetings will be held at the Strasbourg Astronomical Observatory, Strasbourg, France.

The observatory is located in the Downtown campus (Esplanade). Please refer to directions on how to get there. The "Observatoire" tram station (line C towards Esplanade) is located just in front of the observatory.

The meetings will take place in the amphiteatre in the main building (with the astronomical dome). It is building 18 on this map.

Network Access and computer resources

There will be wireless access in the amphitheatre, and at least cable connexion in other meeting rooms for breakout sessions.

In case you have trouble bringing your own laptop because of high security restrictions onboard airplanes, you can bring your presentation on floppy disk/CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/USB flash drive, or download it from the network once in Strasbourg. You can use the computer connected to the projector in the amphitheatre for your presentation This computer has network access for online demos, it runs Windows XP Pro SP2, and can handle presentations in OpenOffice (2.0), PowerPoint (2002) or PDF (Acrobat 7.0). We can also provide access to a computer room for those willing to check email. Please contact SebastienDerriere in advance is you need special assistance.
